Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking our services. By requesting a quote, confirming a booking, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
1About Us
We Clean Barwon is the trading name of Barwon Vacate and Carpet Cleaning Services (ABN: 79 723 102 381), a sole trader business based in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. References to "we", "us", or "our" in these Terms refer to this entity.
2Bookings and Quotes
All quotes provided are fixed-price estimates based on the information you supply. Final pricing is confirmed in writing prior to the commencement of any work.
- Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue
- Prices may be revised if the property is in a significantly different condition than described
- A booking is confirmed only once we have provided written confirmation to you
- We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion
3Bond Back Guarantee
Our guarantee covers cleaning-related issues only. It does not cover damage, fair wear and tear, items not included in the original quote, or issues arising from conditions beyond our control.
Our Bond Back Guarantee applies to all end of lease cleaning services and works as follows:
- If your property manager or real estate agent identifies a cleaning-related deficiency at the final inspection, you must notify us within 72 hours of that inspection
- We will return to re-clean the specific areas identified at no additional cost to you
- The guarantee applies only to areas included in your original booking and quote
- You must provide written evidence of the agent's cleaning-related concerns (e.g. a failed inspection report or written communication)
- The guarantee does not apply if you or a third party have re-entered and used the property after our clean
- The guarantee does not cover carpet steam cleaning unless this was included in the original booking
- The guarantee is void if full payment has not been received
4Payment
- Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing
- We accept payment by bank transfer, cash, or other methods confirmed at the time of booking
- Late payment may result in the suspension of any guarantee obligations until payment is received
- Invoices unpaid after 14 days may incur a late fee of 10% per month
5Cancellations and Rescheduling
- More than 48 hours notice: No cancellation fee — full refund of any deposit paid
- 24 to 48 hours notice: A cancellation fee of 25% of the quoted price may apply
- Less than 24 hours notice: A cancellation fee of 50% of the quoted price may apply
- No-show or locked out on the day: Full quoted price may be charged
We understand move-out situations can change. If you need to reschedule, contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you without penalty.
6Access to the Property
- You are responsible for ensuring we have safe and unobstructed access to the property at the agreed time
- The property should be vacant of people and pets during the clean unless otherwise agreed
- All personal belongings should be removed prior to our arrival
- Utilities (electricity and hot water) must be connected and operational at the property
- If access is not possible at the agreed time due to circumstances within your control, cancellation fees may apply
7Our Liability
We hold public liability insurance and take reasonable care when working in your property. However:
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or issues with property fixtures and fittings
- We are not liable for damage caused by faulty appliances, unstable fixtures, or surfaces that appear undamaged but are not
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the service provided
- We are not responsible for bond money not being returned where the reason is unrelated to cleaning
Any damage claims must be reported to us within 24 hours of our clean being completed, with photographic evidence.
8What We Do Not Cover
Unless explicitly included in your written quote, the following are not included in a standard end of lease clean:
- Carpet steam cleaning
- External window cleaning
- Pressure washing of outdoor areas
- Mould remediation or biohazard cleaning
- Garden, lawn, or outdoor area maintenance
- Removal of large quantities of rubbish or furniture
- Pest control treatments
9Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the property when requesting a quote
- Inform us of any known hazards, infestations, or special conditions at the property
- Ensure the property has functional electricity and hot water
- Make timely payment as agreed
- Notify us promptly of any concerns following our service
10Consumer Guarantees
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010, Schedule 2). Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
11Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
12Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your booking is the version that applies to your service. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
